So we’ve developed this Privacy Policy that covers how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store any personal information that we collect from you or that you provide to us. 3waytalk is the trading name of Netvoices Limited, a company registered in the Isle of Man with company number 10037V and registered office address at 11 Hope Street, Douglas, IM1 1AQ, Isle of Man.

For the purposes of the Isle of Man Data Protection Act 2002, the data controller is Netvoices Limited.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy “Buyer” means a person who is purchasing interpretation or other related services via our app or website from Interpreters and “Interpreters” means the third party freelance interpreters who provide interpretation or other related services to Buyers.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

Personal information is data that can be used to uniquely identify or contact a single living person.

You may be asked to provide your personal information anytime you are in contact with 3waytalk. 3waytalk may use it in a manner which is consistent with this Privacy Policy. 3waytalk may also combine it with other information to provide and improve our products, services, content, and advertising.

What personal information we collect

When you download a software application, register as an Interpreter or a Buyer, fill in forms on our website, correspond with us or otherwise use our products or services, we may collect a variety of information, including your name, address, phone number, email address, payment information. We will keep records of all telephone conversations made via our services for three months for quality purposes only. We will also keep records of all Interpreters’ tests.

Please be aware that if you are a Buyer and disclose any personal information to an Interpreter or a third party using or in connection with the services that we offer, or if you use any forum on our website or app (whether you are a Buyer or an Interpreter), this information is not requested nor collected by 3waytalk and therefore is not covered by this policy. You are giving it at your own risk and we are not liable or responsible for any use made of this information by the Interpreter or other third parties or any consequences of this disclosure by you. You also acknowledge and accept that the recipients of this personal data may not be based within a country with a finding of adequacy in relation to data protection and by providing your personal data to that person you consent to the processing of it by them in their jurisdiction.

If you post information on the forums on our website then this will be visible to all users of our website and you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty free, sub-licensable right to use such information or any portions of it on our website and other materials and you further acknowledge that we may take down such information, or any part of it, at our absolute discretion but that we are under no obligation to monitor or control any comments and information posted on our website and we are not liable or responsible for the content of any such information.

How we use your personal information

We use your personal information to carry out services on the system, including handling payment, dealing with Interpreters and Buyers, pursuing breaches of our Terms and Conditions and handing complaints. We also use it to help us to develop, deliver, and improve our products and services including to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us and for internal purposes such as auditing, data analysis and research.

We also use your personal information to keep you posted on our latest product announcements, software updates, and upcoming events and to improve our services, content and advertising. If you don’t want to be on our mailing list, you can opt out at any time by updating your preferences.

From time to time, we may use your personal information to send you important notices, such as communications about your transactions and changes to our terms, conditions and policies. Because this information is important to your interaction with 3waytalk, you may not opt out of receiving these communications.

Where we store your personal data

The information that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the fulfillment of orders that you make, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal information, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your personal information is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our website, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our website; any transmission is at your own risk. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual. We use this information for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers.

• In the event that there is a complaint about the quality of an interpreter’s work we will share the record of the telephone conversation with other independent interpreters to assess the quality of the interpretation in this particular record only.

3waytalk takes precautions — including administrative, technical, and physical measures — to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

Your Rights, Integrity and Retention of Personal Information

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. You have the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. If you make an access request we may charge you a fee of ?10 to cover our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
